Minutes of meeting held at
Quakers Hall at 7pm on Tuesday 29th June 2004

After a welcoming introduction by the chairman, David Rowley, we were delighted to realise that the speaker for the first part of the meeting would be Lee, who is a member of our 'Club' and also a member of staff in the Colorectal department at the City General Hospital.
Lee spoke with clarity for most of half an hour, describing in detail the work and problems in his department - everyone listened quietly as he brought in one case after another in his department, and we were all immensely impressed with the thoroughness of treatment in every single case.

In contrast, everyone relaxed in the game that was played with a sheet of cartoons which, 'supposedly', were an exact likeness to everyone who was present at our previous meeting together.
Actually, we were all nonplussed, for, if there was, somewhat, a likeness to each one of us....there was a difficulty to understand how the 'thirty' people, at the most, who were present at our meeting, were represented by 58 cartoons. - So, the task which we all were given, (to find our own likeness) was an easy one - and, not surprisingly, everyone present, seemed to have chosen the most flattering likeness for themselves....but having chosen a remarkably odd-looking replica, which was most unflattering for their, (from now) doubtful friend.
